49ers fans want to strike back with a big, bold gesture, raising $8,000 for a billboard featuring “The Catch”by Dwight Clark and the team’s, ahem, 5-0 lead in Vince Lombardi trophies. They hope to have it in place within a mile of CenturyLink Field soon.

Aasheesh Shravah, who started the fund-raising, told the San Jose Mercury News that the projected cost was $7,000, with any extra money raised going to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
