David Stern couldn’t very well leave office without a proper farewell from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

On Friday, his last day as NBA commissioner, Cuban and Stern let go of the past in the traditional way: with a cozy selfie.

Stern has loved to take Cuban’s money over the years, fining him nearly $2 million since he took over as owner of the Mavericks in 2000. On Jan. 18, he was hit with another $100,000 fine for confronting game officials on the court.
