Cheerios Super Bowl commercial counts on family

The Product: Cheerios

The Premise: A dad uses Cheerios and simple arithmetic to explain to his daughter, Gracie, that she’s about to get a sibling.

The Punchline: Gracie is one step ahead of dad — she uses Cheerios to do some addition of her own, and negotiate for a puppy.

The Verdict: Cheers to Cheerios for bringing back the interracial family from their previous ad, which drew such vitriol on YouTube that General Mills had to shut down the comments. This is a sweet little update to their story.
