10:07 p.m.: This post has been updated with more information about the commercial’s creators.

The Product: Doritos

The Premise: A little boy builds a time-travel machine that runs on Doritos, and invites his neighbor to give it a whirl.

The Punchline: Except he takes the Doritos and runs, leaving his elderly neighbor to chase the time-travel scam victim off his lawn. A case of mistaken identity ensues.

The Verdict: Doritos “Crash the Superbowl” winners are consistently among the Super Bowl’s best, and this year is no exception. And it’s by a local! Ellicott City resident native (now living in Arizona) Raj Suri wrote this spot, which was directed by Ryan Thomas Anderson, reports Baltimore’s WJZ and The Sun.
