Michael Phelps is ditching his itsy-bitsy, teenie-weenie Speedo swimsuit.
Phelps and the iconic swimwear maker have parted company, Sports Business Journal reports, and it’s not yet clear what brand of suit he’ll wear when he competes for the first time in 628 days Thursday in the Arena Grand Prix in Mesa, Ariz. Phelps is taking his return to competition slowly, entering three races. He’ll swim the 50-meter freestyle next week, the 100 free and the 100 butterfly, in which he has won three of his record 18 Olympic gold medals. The Baltimore swimmer has won 22 overall.
Phelps won six medals (four gold, two silver) at the 2012 London Summer Olympics and may make another Olympic run in Rio in 2016.
