NFL schedule 2014: Thanksgiving games feature NFC divisional rivalries

The NFL schedule arrived Wednesday and with it came a lineup that will shape a lot of Thanksgivings, possibily for the worse.

AFC families will get a day off. NFC families may find digestion a wee bit more difficult because the day is loaded with three big division rivalries, all of them — an oddity — in the NFC:

First, the Chicago Bears play the Lions in an NFC North game in Detroit at 12:30 p.m. EDT. Then the Philadelphia Eagles play the Cowboys in an NFC East game in Dallas at 4:30 p.m. EDT. And the evening ends with the Seattle Seahawks playing the 49ers in an NFC West game in San Francisco at 8:30 p.m. EDT.

This is just a suggestion, but it’ll probably be worth sticking with the Seahawks-49ers through the end. Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh aren’t exactly fond of one another.
