After all those Game 7s, NHL playoffs will continue to be awesome

(Ron Chenoy/USA Today Sports)

Wednesday night saw three Game 7s in the NHL playoffs, with the Rangers holding off the Flyers, the Kings becoming the fourth team to win a series after being down 3-0 and the Wild beating the Avalanche in overtime, as all Game 7s should be decided.

There’s more to love in the conference semifinals (Chicago-Minnesota, Los Angeles-Anaheim, New York-Pittsburgh and Boston-Montreal).

There are regional rivals.

The Bruins are playing the Canadiens for the 34th time in the playoffs.

Four of the Original Six are still alive.

And hey look, savvy scheduling!

See? Awesome.
