The Broncos’ Wes Welker handed out $100 bills to strangers after the Kentucky Derby

Wes Welker either won really big at the Kentucky Derby or the Bronco, who last year signed a $12 million deal with the Denver franchise, was just feeling extra generous as he left the Kentucky Derby.

One fan claims the football player exited the Churchill Downs with a police escort while handing out $100 bills to random strangers.

One fan on hand, Marc Blandford, told USA Today:

“[Welker] said he just won the Kentucky Derby and proceeded to walk down the line until the police officer stopped him. I think six of us ended up with $100 bills. … Everyone was pretty much freaking out.”

Unfortunately, not everyone got their hands on Welker’s cash. Jeff Novak II said the police officer Welker was with interrupted the football player’s make-it-rain moment and ushered him away.

But supposedly, Welker’s generous streak really did come from a big win.

We’re still waiting to hear, however, if upon his reported big win Welker reacted like Tom Brady did last year when he won $24,000. You can’t miss it in the middle of this video.
