Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper loves the Montreal Canadiens

Montreal Canadiens fans are a devoted bunch. For example, after Tuesday night’s game against the New York Rangers, Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper took to social media to express his support. Seeing as though the rest of his tweets are exclusively about Canadian politics, taking a moment to express his love for the Habs after their 7-4 victory seems like a pretty big deal.

But that’s not all! For those Canadians who don’t run the country and have a little more time on their hands, tweeting wasn’t enough. Instead, these Habs devotees drove to Canadiens player Rene Bourque’s parents’ house to throw hats on their lawn in celebration of Bourque’s hat trick.

Now, that’s love.
