When the Seattle Seahawks and their loquacious cornerback stopped by the White House kitchen on a recent visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and cooked up a healthy lunch for the Let’s Move initiative, Sherman got grilled by the First Lady in a cameo appearance.

“Well, let me tell you,” Sherman loudly chirps in answer to Obama’s question after cooking with Earl Thomas and Russell Wilson. “We the best chefs in the game. So when you try us with an easy meal like salmon cakes and succotash, that’s the result you going to get.”

“Wow, Richard, where’d you learn to do all this?” Obama asks. “I mean, corn, succotash, salmon cakes.”

“Well, Ms. Obama, I know how important it is for everybody to eat right. And whether you’re a pro-athlete or just a kid at school wanting a healthy meal, you got to put the right fuel in your body in order to perform at your best.”

“I couldn’t agree more, Richard,” she concludes. “Thank you.”

At least she didn’t dunk on him.
