It doesn’t quite measure up to the $1 billion prize that Warren Buffet and Quicken Loans were offering to anyone who could pick a perfect March Madness bracket (no one did, by the way), but the offer being made by an online betting site for the World Cup is still pretty good. Cloudbet.com is putting up 100 Bitcoins (about $65,000 at the moment) to anyone who can pick the perfect World Cup Bracket. The site writes:
“To win, successfully pick the winner and runner up of each group, along with the winner of each knock-out round game all the way through to the final.”
That’s easier said than done, with eight groups and four rounds of bracket play (click here to read our full guide).
That said, it’s free to enter, but you need to create a Cloudbet account (also free). Entries close at 7 a.m. EST on June 12, the day the World Cup in Brazil is set to kick off.
And in case you’re wondering what the heck a Bitcoin is and what it might mean to win 100 of them, here’s a quick lesson.
