New York Daily News wins the Jason Kidd story with a slam-dunk headline

There are any number of winners in Jason Kidd’s departure for Milwaukee, but it’s difficult to top the New York Daily News’ headline.

In a mere five words, the News managed to give him a succinct, straight-from-the-heart farewell when the Brooklyn Nets agreed to allow him to become coach of the Bucks for two draft picks.

This isn’t the first time Kidd has felt the wrath of the tabloids. Both the News and the New York Post went with “Slam Drunk” after Kidd’s DWI arrest two years ago.
