Manu Ginobili is expected to miss the FIBA World Cup later this summer because of a stress fracture in his right leg.

Ginobili, who had expected to play for Argentina, learned of his injury during his exit physical with the San Antonio Spurs, Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.  Ginobili, 36, is likely to be sidelined two months but is expected to be ready for the start of Spurs’ training camp in late September. He is expected to seek a second medical opinion.

The FIBA World Cup starts Aug. 30 in Spain.
