Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Aaron Murray did not get a rose on ‘The Bachelorette’

Because nothing says “SPORTS!” like “OMG, DID YOU SEE ‘THE BACHELORETTE’ LAST NIGHT?” Well, you’re going to have to deal with it because these two worlds collided Monday night when newly drafted Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Aaron Murray showed up on screen.

If you’re unfamiliar with the evergreen ABC program, here’s the gist: Roughly 25 men vie for the heart of one woman until there is just one man left holding the show’s ubiquitous talisman, a single red rose. One of those men this season happens to be Josh Murray, Aaron’s older brother and a former minor league baseball player. Josh managed to woo Andi Dorfman, the bachelorette, for enough episodes to lure her to his home town to meet his family, hence Aaron’s cameo.

But watching Aaron try to make his brother sound like the best future husband ever wasn’t half as fun as watching Twitter blow up when the QB came on. The Internet’s got jokes!
