File this under World Cup news you can’t use. Apparently, the World Cup isn’t all bad in Brazil, despite the host country’s embarrassing 7-1 loss to Germany in the semifinals. According to the Associated Press, Brazil’s female population is celebrating the tournament’s “bonanza of men.”
“There are so many men everywhere these days, it’s amazing,” Renata de Mouro Moitinho, 22, told AP while taking a break from samba dancing with an Italian gentlemen in Rio. “The World Cup is God’s gift to women.”
Yes ladies, this veritable Brazilian World Cup boy-nanza (see what I did there?!) has it all:
Shirtless shouting men.
Men with a child-sized tutus on their heads.
Sullen-looking blue-faced men.
Men with French-flag pompadours.
Animal-loving hairy men.
Angry shirt-eating men.
Very excited men dressed as bowling pins.
Confused-looking men with sequined heart-hats on.
Painted men dressed up in Blanche Devereaux’s old caftans.
And, of course, knights in shining armor.
God’s gift, indeed, ladies. Amen.
