Pat Riley took another step in rebuilding the Miami Heat after the departure of LeBron James, signing free-agent swing man Luol Deng.

Riley, who re-signed Chris Bosh and is expected to sign Dwyane Wade, lured Deng with a two-year, $20 million contract, ESPN reported. The Chicago Bulls traded Deng to Cleveland in midseason and Dallas, Atlanta and Phoenix were among teams interested in signing him.

Deng can opt out of his contract next summer.
