Broncos’ Wes Welker flies high with the Thunderbirds

After this, NFL training camp is going to be a piece of cake.

Wes Welker prepared for Denver Broncos’ camp by going up into the wild, blue yonder on an F-16 jet with the Air Force Thunderbirds.

“It was a great experience,” Welker said (via the Denver Post). “I don’t know if I’d necessarily need to do it again. I took a selfie that actually came out pretty well. And I kept my lunch down. It wasn’t easy. Near the end, we were flying by the strip, and I was like, ‘Okay, land already. I am good.’ ”

The video is pretty spectacular, too, in a “vomit comet” kind of way.

And, yes, the man whose I.D. tag calls him “Thunderbird Celebrity” took a selfie and tweeted about his experience.
