Dwyane Wade says a kid at his basketball camp asked him why he flops

Most kids might clam up around a high-profile basketball star like the Heat’s Dwyane Wade, especially if those kids were attending the Dwyane Wade and Brandon Marshall Sports Academy.

There are always exceptions to the rule, however. And one kid attending the basketball camp surprised the Heat star by asking him why he flops. Unfortunately, there’s no video of the kid actually questioning Wade, but there is video of Wade explaining the incident as he recalls it.

Hopefully the kid got an answer because all the rest of the world got was Wade avoiding answering the question that he himself brought up. Clever!

Wade is not the only NBA flopper, of course. Some say the problem is an epidemic. One of Wade’s most famous flops came during Game 2 of the NBA Finals this year when the star fell dramatically to the ground after the San Antonio Spurs’ Manu Ginobili attempted to swat the ball from his hands. The NBA ended up fining Wade $5,000 for his antics.
