Clemson quarterback pretends to be a mannequin, scares people

Clemson senior Cole Stoudt has a tall order ahead of him, having been named Tajh Boyd’s replacement as quarterback of the Tigers. Boyd was known for a strong arm and excellent running ability, and while Stoudt may also have the arm, a recent video makes great use of his ability to stay motionless.

The lobby of Clemson’s athletic facility uses several mannequins to display team garb. Stoudt got geared up, then replaced one of the mannequins. Some folks who strolled into that lobby then got a shock as Stoudt leaped out at them. Most of the prank victims in the video appear to be fellow Tigers, but a number of visitors get the treatment as well, including a young girl who seems to take it pretty well.

Stoudt, the son of former NFL quarterback Cliff Stoudt, proved he can surprise the heck out of his teammates. But what would really make for a terrific video clip would be if Stoudt can shock ACC heavyweight Florida State, which is No. 1 in the USA Today coaches’ preseason poll. Last season, the Seminoles crushed the Tigers, 51-14. Stoudt completed 5 of 8 passes for 47 yards in that game, adding a two-yard touchdown run as he mopped up in place of Boyd.

He previously had used 'Desmond Bieler' as his byline, but feels that shortening the first name to 'Des' nicely conveys his ever-decreasing gravitas. He also covers Fantasy Football.
