Brace yourself. Something very strange is about to appear before you.

In the run-up to the release of Madden 15 on August 26, EA Games made what might be the weirdest ad in the history of ever. It stars comedian Kevin Hart and actor Dave Franco (brother of James Franco) and a slew of NFL talent, including the Seattle Seahawks’ Richard Sherman, the Dallas Cowboys’ Dez Bryant, the San Francisco 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick, the Philadelphia Eagles’ LeSean McCoy, the Denver Broncos’ Von Miller and the Green Bay Packers’ Eddie Lacy.

As you can see, this ad is stuck between a dream and a nightmare. On the one hand, wow, look at all those top-notch NFL stars in one place! BUT OH MY WORD THEY ARE RAPPING GIBBERISH AT YOU!

Or how about that fantasy scenario of having a video game standoff with the hilarious Hart, while adoring onlookers cheer you on. BUT OH MY GOODNESS YOUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE!

Of course, a logical plot isn’t what’s important here. This video was clearly made for purely viral entertainment purposes and it seems to have succeeded. The Washington Post is blogging about it, after all …
