On a recent promotional trip to Shanghai, Kobe Bryant unveiled the future of basketball.

More specifically, it’s a Nike RISE court, an LED “House of Mamba” floor that may someday change how athletes train.

Nike teamed up with AKQA to create a court on which players can do drills based on how Bryant himself trains. During the promotional trip, he did a demonstration with Chinese students — although he wasn’t exactly sure how it all works.

Never mind, though. It looks fabulous.
