Serena Williams hit the floor at a New York City club on Wednesday night and darned if she didn’t nearly bring down the house.

Williams, who will play in the U.S. Open next week, did a little karaoke on the stage, choosing to belt out “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” made famous by Marilyn Monroe.

Saying, “I’m really nervous,” Williams divulged that karaoke is her “favorite thing” at the Delta Airlines event.

“I do like ’80s, ’90s rock because it’s good for my voice,” she said (via Fox Sports). “The thing about karaoke is picking a song that works for your voice, that way if you sing like a cat — like I do — you can still sound pretty good.”

As for her chosen profession, Williams, the No. 1 seed, is going for her third straight U.S. Open title.

“I feel good. I feel good. I’m looking forward to it,” she said. “I am going to be relaxed and enjoy myself.”
