NFL playoff scenarios for Week 16

Week 15 of the NFL season is in the books, and only four teams (the Cardinals, Patriots, Broncos and Colts) have clinched playoff berths. Here’s a look at all the playoff-clinching scenarios for Week 16, per NFL.com.

NFC

Arizona Cardinals

– The Cardinals have already clinched a playoff berth. They can clinch the NFC West title and home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a win over the Seahawks on Sunday.

Detroit Lions

– The Lions will clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Bears, or a tie plus an Eagles loss or tie against the Redskins, or an Eagles loss to the Redskins.

– The Lions will clinch the NFC North title with a win plus a Packers loss to the Bucs.

– The Lions will clinch a first-round playoff bye with a win, a Packers loss to the Bucs and a Cowboys loss to the Colts.

Dallas Cowboys

– The Cowboys will clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Colts, plus a Packers loss or tie against the Bucs and a Lions loss or tie against the Bears, so long as both Green Bay and Detroit don’t both tie.

– The Cowboys will clinch the NFC East with a win plus an Eagles loss or tie against the Redskins, or a tie plus an Eagles loss.

Seattle Seahawks

– The Seahawks will clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Cardinals plus an Eagles loss or tie against the Redskins, or a win plus a Lions loss or tie against the Bears, or a win plus a Packers loss or tie against the Bucs, or a tie plus an Eagles loss, or a tie plus a Lions loss and a Packers loss, or an Eagles loss and a Cowboys win or tie.

Green Bay Packers

– The Packers will clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Bucs plus an Eagles loss or tie against the Redskins, or a win plus a Cowboys loss or tie against the Colts, or a tie plus an Eagles loss, or a tie plus and Eagles tie and a Cowboys win or tie, or an Eagles loss plus a Cowboys win or tie.

New Orleans Saints

– The Saints will clinch the NFC South with a win over the Falcons plus a Panthers loss to the Browns.

AFC

New England Patriots

– The Patriots can clinch a first-round bye with a win over the Jets, or a tie plus a Colts loss or tie against the Cowboys, or a Colts loss plus a Bengals loss or tie against the Broncos, a Steelers loss or tie against the Chiefs and a Ravens loss or tie against the Texans.

– The Patriots can clinch home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs with a win plus a Broncos loss to the Bengals.

Denver Broncos

– The Broncos can clinch a first-round bye with a win over the Bengals, or a tie plus a Colts loss or tie against the Cowboys.

Cincinnati Bengals

– The Bengals can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Broncos, or a tie plus a Ravens loss to the Texans, or a tie plus a Chiefs loss or tie plus a Chargers loss or tie, or a Chiefs loss plus a Chargers loss plus a Bills loss or tie.

– The Bengals will clinch the AFC North title with a win plus a Steelers loss plus a Ravens loss or tie.

Pittsburgh Steelers

– The Steelers will clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Chiefs.

Baltimore Ravens

– The Ravens will clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Texans plus a Steelers loss and a Bengals loss, or a win plus a Chiefs loss or tie and a Chargers loss or tie, or a tie plus a Chiefs loss, a Chargers loss and a Bills loss or tie.
