Ann Romney: Clint Eastwood ‘did a unique thing’ last night

Clint Eastwood's unscripted GOP convention speech will likely prompt much chatter and questions today. It came right after a biographical video about Mitt Romney. In an interview with CBS News Friday morning, Ann Romney was asked whether she would have preferred to see the video air in prime time instead of Eastwood's monologue.

Her answer? She wishes more people had seen the video. 

"Yes, I do wish more people had seen those touching moments," Ann Romney said.

She added, of Eastwood: "He's a unique guy and he did a unique thing last night ... I didn't know it was coming."

"I think its important that people do see that side of Mitt," Ann Romney also said. "We appreciated Clint's support, of course, but it's so hard to really get a sense of who this person is in such a short amount of time."
