"Never once has the campaign asked me to stop something or do something differently or not do anything," Ryan told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Last week, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) suggested that the Romney campaign was restraining Ryan.
As for those who think the Romney campaign needs to be more bold, the Wisconsin congressman had a two-fold response. "A, we still have a ways to go. I think that's just the nature of conservative punditry is to do that -- to kind of complain -- about any imperfection they might see," Ryan said.
