N.Y. postpones ballot deadlines

New York has pushed back the deadline for submitting absentee ballots by mail or fax from this past Tuesday to this Friday, the New York Times reports. Voters can apply for an absentee ballot in person through Monday. The board also extended the deadline for county boards of elections to receive absentee ballots after the election, from Nov. 13 to Nov. 19. But absentee ballots being returned by mail still must be postmarked by Monday.
