Crowley ‘threw the president a lifeline,’ says Tucker Carlson

Go, Martha MacCallum! The Fox News anchor hammers CNN’s Candy Crowley for having failed to enforce uniform answering of questions at the town-hall debate last night.

Though President Obama received a question about requests for security in Libya prior to the Benghazi attack, MacCallum wasn’t happy with the response. “He never addressed the question,” said MacCallum. “Why didn’t Candy Crowley then jump in and say, ‘Wait a minute, Mr. President.’?”

Demonstrating that he perhaps didn’t watch the debate too closely, guest Alan Colmes said of Obama, ”As a matter of fact, I think he did answer the question.” Colmes brooked no criticism of Obama or Crowley, though fellow panelist Tucker Carlson of the Daily Caller more than compensated, saying that Crowley had thrown Obama a “lifeline.”
