Politicians, celebrities, media types — all of them may want to take a look at how embattled “me-cycler”* Jonah Lehrer responded when the New York Times rung him up regarding the untoward duplication of his work.
Mr. Lehrer, reached by telephone, expressed remorse about the self-borrowings but declined to comment further. “It was a stupid thing to do and incredibly lazy and absolutely wrong,” he said.
The lesson here: If you hit yourself on the head, others will feel less inclined to do so.
