Morgan continues gay-rights crusade

Much talk these days about how CNN’s product steers a middle course between left and right. Straight-up news coverage.

Except, of course, when Piers Morgan addresses gay rights on his show. Then some raw advocacy comes into play, as Morgan showed in a classic engagement with Michele Bachmann — in which the host made the congresswoman very uncomfortable about her past statements on gays — and with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a man whom Morgan charged with “really quite extreme bigotry.”

In the clip above, from last night’s show, Morgan discusses gay marriage/gay rights with big-time pastor the Rev. Rick Warren. Asked about the origins of homosexuality, Warren stated that it’s not always right to act on “natural” feelings. “Not everything natural is good for me. Arsenic is natural,” said Warren. For some reason, Morgan didn’t jump down his throat!
