NYT says Kate Upton is ‘like a Page 3 girl.’ Sure is!

That’s Page 3!
Today the New York Times profiles Kate Upton, a model who has vaulted to Sports Illustrated swimsuit fame via YouTube. The story notes that Upton has the legs of a “W.N.B.A. point guard” and has a “respectable Twitter following (170,000, prior to the story).

But it also quotes a fashion maven who says of Upton: “She’s like a Page 3 girl,” referring to “the scantily clad voluptuous women featured in The Sun, a London tabloid.”

And just above that particular bit of text is a picture of Upton, scantily clad and voluptuous, right smack in the middle of Page 3. Of the tabloid-envious New York Times.
