The haymakers between California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa and New York Times reporter Eric Lichtblau have been flying ever since the paper published an Aug. 14 investigative story on the congressman. This week alone the Erik Wemple Blog has written about how a county assessor got in on the festivities and how the nastiness is beginning to hamper the work of the paper’s Washington bureau.
