As President Obama stumped at the University of North Carolina, a pool report from Washington Times reporter Dave Boyer captured the logistics and the atmospherics:
After the speech, the president’s motorcade made a short drive on campus to the building where he will tape Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He arrived at the new location at 2 p.m.
Pool is holding in an adjacent building, with a live video feed of show to come.
In these days of non-stop coverage of the Secret Service scandal, your pooler feels obligated to note that Mr. Obama’s speech at Carmichael Arena took place directly across the road from an athletic practice facility called “Hooker Field.”
The next time Boyer feels such an obligation, perhaps he should neglect it.
