In an I-told-you-so segment, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell scolds the rest of the “political media” for not figuring out what he’d known all along. That Sarah Palin was never, ever going to be a candidate — much less a serious one — in the 2012 race. In a separate breath, the host celebrates the loss of Palin’s “slightest connection to political relevance,” as Fox News “unceremoniously dumped her from their paid players list.” Dumped, huh? Perhaps O’Donnell isn’t placing much credence in the anonymous source who told Real Clear Politics that Fox had offered Palin a contract that she’d turned down.
