State of the Union: Touré objects to Nugent invitation

MSNBC host Touré blasts the news that rocker Ted Nugent has been invited to attend tonight’s State of the Union address by Republican Rep. Steve Stockman of Texas.

Said Touré on today’s edition of “The Cycle”: “The Ted Nugent thing I find to be sort of way over the line, a sort of human middle finger to Obama. A sort of just attempt to just say, just, just ‘Screw you’.” He also called it “inappropriate.”

Touré, forever staking out fringe positions on matters of public concern: All Nugent has done is say stuff like, “Obama, he’s a piece of [expletive]. I told him to suck on my machine gun.” And “Hey Hillary, you might want to ride one of these [machine guns] into the sunset, you worthless [nasty word].” And “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” Is Touré really arguing that statements like those should disqualify Nugent from attending one of the most sacred events in American politics?
