Blogger begins restoring posts as outage continues

Blogger has started restoring posts lost during its ongoing service outage, which began after a scheduled maintenance update Wednesday.

After that, many users reported that they were unable to post, edit or even log in to their blogs.

This morning, Blogger sent the site into read-only mode and removed all posts made since Wednesday at 11:37 a.m. to try to fix the problem.

The service announced that it had started restoring posts about 9 a.m. today:

We've started restoring the posts that were temporarily removed and expect Blogger to be back to normal soon.Fri May 13 13:04:02 via web

In the latest message on its status page, Blogger said, “Again, we apologize that this happened and our engineers are working hard to return Blogger to normal and restore your posts and comments. We will post a report once this work is complete.”
