Blogger getting a makeover

Have you looked at Blogger lately? That’s what Google’s asking in a blog post as Blogger turns 11 this year and teases a major site redesign.

No word on when Google will be launching the new look, but the platform promised a new post editor and dashboard, better mobile browsing and a new content discovery feature that will let blog readers easily find related content within the Blogger network.

The platform also took some time to toot its own horn, claiming to be the sixth-largest Web site in the world with over 400 million active readers.

Mashable pointed out that, despite its size, Blogger still has a lot of catching up to do in the buzz war with Tumblr and Wordpress, which provides software to tons of other sites, including Mashable.
