CES 2012: What is this #MysteryGadget?

The 2012 Consumer Electronics Show officially kicked off Tuesday. Amid the sometimes familiar televisions and appliances that are trotted out for critics and buyers are a whole host of gadgets whose uses aren’t as obvious.

Wednesday, we posted a picture of these Zipbuds earphones and asked you to identify it. The Zipbuds offer a new solution to keep your cords from tangling, and come in pink, blue and black.

For Thursday’s gadget, Washington Post videographer AJ Chavar snapped a picture of this contraption at the show. What do you think it is?
