Facebook promises ‘awesome’ announcement

Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook Inc., told reporters that the site is launching an “awesome” new feature created in its Seattle division. (CHRIS RATCLIFFE/BLOOMBERG)
We don’t know what Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is planning to launch for his network next week, but he promised that it would be “awesome.”

According to Reuters, the exec told reporters visiting the company’s offices in Seattle that Facebook’s planning a big announcement, and that the product had been developed at its Seattle office.

There have been a lot of rumors about new features planned for Facebook, including a music service and an iPad app.

The company faces some competition this week from Google, which just launched its latest social network, Google +, in direct competition with Facebook.

What do you think the announcement will be? What features would you like to see from Facebook?
