Google is on a redesigning kick after the launch of its social network, Google +, and the next product to get a makeover will be its popular e-mail service, Gmail.
A post in the Gmail blog Thursday night showed off the site’s new look, which is similar to the newly minted search pages. The whole interface has a cleaner, more modern feel with no apparent functional differences. Google is rolling out the new design Friday in user accounts as a new theme.
If you’re interested in testing out the new design, head to the “Themes” page in your settings and select “Preview” or “Preview (Dense).”
Google Calendar also rolled out a new design to users on Thursday, getting fairly good feedback on Twitter, though users were surprised by the change.
What do you think of Google’s new designs?
