Hulu Plus comes to six Android phones

The Motorola Atrix is one of six Android phones that can run the Hulu Plus application.
Hulu has released an Android app that lets Hulu Plus subscribers access the service on the move.

Well, some of them, anyway. The app only works with six Android phones at the moment: the Nexus One, Nexus S, HTC Inspire 4G, Motorola Droid II, Motorola Droid X, and the Motorola Atrix.

“We expect to add to the number of Android smartphones and will be making additional device announcements throughout the year,” the company said in a blog post.

Hulu Plus subscribers get access to full seasons of popular shows as well as complete runs of classic shows and movies for $7.99 per month. All subscribers get a free week to try the service.

The app itself is free to download, just like its iOS counterpart.

There’s been a lot of chatter about the future of Hulu this week, as reports confirmed the company is putting itself up for sale after receiving an unsolicited offer.
