LG Thrill 4G: AT&T announces summer release for 3D Android phone

AT&T said Wednesday that the LG Thrill 4G, the network’s first 3D Android phone, will get a summer release, though it did not specify an exact release date.

The phone will come preloaded with 3D content, including games and YouTube 3D, plus access to the Gameloft 3D store and 3D movies.

The screen is 4.3 inches and the phone uses two stereoscopic 5 MP rear-facing cameras to take 3D video and photographs.

The phone runs Android 2.2, Gingerbread, has an HDMI port and comes with Qik WiFi video calling service.

The company did not offer price details.
