Report: Apple will not hold a Sept. 7 event, after all

Just when it seemed as though Apple would be sticking to some semblance of its regular schedule, The Loop’s Jim Dalrymple reported that his sources say there will be no Apple event on Sept. 7, after all.

Dalrymple — who’s well-known for his good Apple sources — said that while the date fits in with past Apple events, his sources say Apple will not have an event or launch the next iPhone on Sept. 7.

Dalrymple didn’t put the kibosh on a September launch altogether, however, saying that it is widely expected that Apple will use its September event to launch the next iPhone.
