Target offers another 3DS trade-in deal

Target is letting users trade in their old Nintendo handhelds for up to $100 off the 3DS. (Tomohiro Ohsumi - BLOOMBERG)
On Thursday, I shared one great deal on the Nintendo 3DS. It turns out Target is also getting into the spirit of the trade-in, offering up to $100 off a new 3DS with the trade-in of your DSi XL today (Friday, Aug. 12) and Saturday, Aug. 13.

A DSi will get you $75 off and trading in a DS Lite will get you a discount of $40 off of the price of the handheld.

Nintendo has officially dropped the price of the handheld from $249.99 to $169.99 from Friday, after tepid sales of the device forced it to cut its profit forecast.

Sadly, Target’s trade-in deal comes too late to get in on Nintendo’s 3DS Ambassador Program.
