The challenge of governing without a budget

Rein

The federal government is on its sixth continuing resolution, as the country heads into day 179 without a budget. The Post reported Saturday on the limbo almost every agency is in: managers running in place, unable to hire, train their employees or keep vital contracts going. We asked you for your perspective to help us report Saturday’s story on life in government on the installment plan. Federal workers and contractors responded with candor and plenty of frustration.

Please share your insights again! We think the budget impasse-as Congress battles over how much to spend and on what while federal workers try to keep doing their jobs--is an important story for our readers. We want to hear from you. What work at your agency is not getting done that should be?

Please share your thoughts below.
