President signs bill to extend deadline for online financial disclosures

President Obama on Friday signed a bill extending the deadline for the senior-level employees of executive and legislative offices to post financial disclosures online. The new deadline will be April 15. 

The online-posting requirement started under the Stock Act, which is meant to discourage insider trading by members of Congress and their staffs.
