Chris Cooley, Brandon Banks limited in practice

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said the team got a lot done during its practice at Lifetime Fitness Wednesday. Shanahan said he was worried about the risk of injuries and decided not to have the team practice in the rain.

Tight end Chris Cooley (knee) was limited in practice today. No determination has been made on his availability for Sunday. Return man Brandon Banks (knee) also was limited.

Safety LaRon Landry (hamstring) did not practice.

Shanahan said he spoke to Landry about his tweets that alluded to the team’s trainers mishandling his injury. Shanahan said Landry’s statement this morning was sufficient comment, and that he is “very pleased” with the team’s trainers.

Mike Jones covers the Washington Redskins for The Washington Post. When not writing about a Redskins development of some kind – which is rare – he can be found screaming and cheering at one of his kids’ softball, baseball, soccer or basketball games.
