Washington Redskins running back Evan Royster is a nominee for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week following his career rushing day against the Minnesota Vikings last Saturday.
Royster, whom Washington drafted in the sixth round out of Penn State, rushed for 132 yards on 19 carries and caught two passes for 15 yards.
Other nominees for Rookie of the week are Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton (18-for-31 passing with 154 yards and two touchdowns), Oakland receiver Denarius Moore (four catches for 94 yards and a touchdown), Carolina quarterback Cam Newton (completed 70.6 passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns, six carries for 65 yards and a touchdown) and Minnesota safety Mistral Raymond (six tackles, two pass breakups and an interception).
