Fifteen teams get 32 compensatory draft picks

March 26, 2012

PALM BEACH, Fla.—The league announced it had awarded 32 compensatory picks in April’s NFL draft to 15 teams.

The Washington Redskins did not receive any compensatory draft choices, which are awarded based on a formula that weighs losses and gains in free agency the previous year.

The Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and Green Bay Packers were awarded four picks each. The Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers were given three compensatory choices apiece.

The highest pick, a third-round choice, was given to the Raiders.
