Right tackle Jammal Brown is scheduled to see a doctor Tuesday to have his ailing hip evaluated, Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said.
Brown missed practice for a second straight day Friday after reinjuring his hip Wednesday afternoon.
Shanahan continued to be asked about the running back competition at his post-practice briefing and said: “I really don’t know what’s going to happen at the tailback position.”
Shanahan said Tim Hightower’s left knee is “not close to 100 percent.” Hightowher started at running back last year before tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.
Injured safety Tanard Jackson is expected to practice for the first time Monday, Shanahan said.
