Wide receiver Leonard Hankerson left Tuesday’s practice with heat-related symptoms, coach Mike Shanahan said. Hankerson was taken from the practice field on a cart, received IV fluids and is expected to be fine, Shanahan said.

Fellow wideout Josh Morgan also suffered from heat-related symptoms Tuesday, the final practice of training camp that was open to fans.

Shanahan said that even with Tuesday’s developments, he is pleased that heat didn’t present too much of a problem throughout training camp. He called Tuesday’s practice a good one, better than Monday’s session.

Tailback Tim Hightower has made progress in recent days as he returns gradually from last season’s knee injury, Shanahan said. Hightower might participate in full team drills Friday and play in the third or fourth preseason game, according to Shanahan.
